About the Program

This program is suitable for people living with movement restrictions, physical limitations, or anyone wanting an interactive, low impact workout. Classes are designed for individuals seeking an activity for the body and brain through a fun, physical and creative outlet.

Classes are run as a seated program with the option to do parts standing. The focus is on improving mobility, coordination and balance in a safe and fun environment.

Format: Seated dance exercise class with optional standing components
Suitable for: Senior citizens, people with mobility issues, anyone seeking low impact movement
Location: Sunshine Coast & Hinterland, QLD

Class Structure

Warm Up: Seated slow and gentle warm up to ease into movement
Seated Exercises: Movement exercises using feet, legs, hips and arms — working on upper and lower body coordination
Sit-to-Stand: Building strength in the core and quads
Standing Work: Behind the chair for support — heel rises and exercises for balance, joint mobility, strength and flexibility
Locomotor Exercises: For those who need support, a corridor of chairs is provided
Cool Down: Gentle cool down and breathing exercises
